Leadership

Don and his wife, Phyllis, arrived in Charleston on June 29th. East Harrison Street is the 7th church  they've served as an interim pastor. Don grew up in central Illinois, and his first three pastorates were in Illinois.  He pastored in NE Indiana ten years and then served 20 years as Global Reach Director at the denominational office in Findlay, OH. His ministry training includes degrees from Lincoln Christian University, Olivet Nazarene University, Winebrenner Theological Seminary, and Columbia International University. Don & Phyllis have two married sons and four grandchildren.

Chris has served as the Administrative Pastor since January 2023.  He previously served as Director of Youth from February 2019-December 2022.  He received his Local Pastoral License in 2020 from the Midwest Region Conference as well as a Certificate in Ministry from Liberty University.  He and his wife, Judy, have attended EHSCOG since approximately 2007.  He has a passion to share the love of Christ with the congregation at our church as well as those in  the community.  Chris & Judy have two married children and four grandchildren.

Judy began serving as the EHSCOG Children's Ministry Director in March 2019 and the Church Secretary in January 2023.  She and her husband Chris have taught our Elementary Sunday School Class, worked in the nursery, taught children's Bible Studies and hosted many children's events.  She has a desire to see children and families come to know our Savior and serve in the church.  Judy and Chris have two married children and four grandchildren that love coming to church!

Barb has served as our Nursery Supervisor for two years.

Jonathon has served as our Church Janitor for five years.

Nita has served as our Youth Assistant for approximately two years.
